Thank you for this, Carla. You know we're holding you and your family in our hearts and thoughts at this time -- and we will be with you on Friday morning, at least in spirit.

I knew that she was in the hospital but I haven't been on TCS for about a week.
I missed what happened. I am so sorry to her family for their loss. Just know you are all in my prayers.
She will be sooo missed.

, Carla. I know how bitter it is to lose a sibling. We all accept, at least "intellectually", that our parents won't be there for us forever, and assume that all our siblings will be to offer mutual support, so somehow the passing of a sister or brother is even worse. Cathi is no longer here physically, but she'll live on in your memories, and in the memories of those whose lives she touched with her compassion and sense of humor. She was a very special person, who always managed to cheer up other people. She's with your father now, and will be there for you when it's your time to bid farewell to this earthly existence.

I just lost my sister too so I know the numbness that you are feeling.
It's hard to believe they are really gone.
I didn't know Cathi very well, just knew she had a wonderful sense of humor.
I am so sorry for your loss, and to all those who knew and loved her.
