Don't worry it's pretty simple!

You copy the address, come back to your message, highlight what you want to be hyperlinked, be it a smiley or words, then click on the icon that looks like the earth with a paperclip like thing next to it - it's under the smiley icon which is to the right of text color...., and paste the adress in the box and voila - a hyperlink!
