Kipper has been throwing up some foamy stuff lately. It's pretty gross, but it's never food or anything, just a little foamy puddle. When he throws up once, he does it another time, and then moves to a different spot.

Obviously he's sick or something, but I cant get to the vet untill Saturday or even sunday. Anybody know what could be wrong?? I also seen some blood in his poop yesterday, but then he started throwing up. Anyone have any ideas as to what could be wrong?

He throws up about 5 times a day, the past 3 days.
Foamy little puddles, about the size of a quarter.
He has blood in his poop.
Eating, and drinking fine.
Yes, he is fixed.
He is about 3 years old.
We have another cat, could this be contagious to the other cat?
He is an inside cat.

Leah, take him now. Just drop him off if you have to, they can keep him a few hours back in the back and watch him. These signs are not good.

Ok, well now you got me scared. I am going to take him now, but what could this be? How long are they going to keep him?

I am not a vet, he could just have worms. Foamy vomit can sometimes indicate an obstruction or other problem. The frequency of his vomiting and the blood in his stool suggests you do have a problem which won't go away on its own. I didn't mean to scare you. He just may need a vet quicker than Saturday

Well, I called the vet. And explained everything to them. She said that she's going to have doctor call me back, as this is signs of dehydration, and worms.

So, now, Im waiting for the doctor(vet) to call back.

But....Hissy, you werent scaring me too bad, just bad enough to know that this might be more serious than I thought.
Hopefully all is well in Kipper world soon.

I know this is an old post, but I have a cat doing the same thing. Did you ever find out what was wrong with you cat?

Thanks!

Please take your cat to the vet...my Trout had the same symptoms and was very dehydrated and needed IV for the weekend..She was okay after that..but it can get pretty serious if kitty throws up alot.
