hiii!

my male kitten, kramer, does not meow! i can't seem to get ahold of a vet anytime and nobody wants to call me back... but i was wondering what you all thought about this!

he opens his mouth but nothing comes out... it's like he's trying to meow but he can't... or maybe not. i can't really tell. he's a very happy cat. he plays, eats and drinks great. he's a really frisky kitty... he has a little sister and they play together alot... they LOVE each other! they aren't from the same litter, but we got them from the same lady. they talk to each other alot... (well HE doesn't meow... she meows just fine lol but they coo at each other ALOT) ...he just can't seem to meow. he coos and purrs fine... (alot actually...) and the day we brought him home, when he was REALLY freaked out, like in the car... he did meow a couple times. that really deep and kind of creepy meow...

anyway, thanks for your opinions!

Hi,
One of my cats 8yr old Daisy nearly always does silent meows we've only heard her voice once or twice in all this time, it just seems normal for her.

It's quite normal. Don't worry about it, some cats (and some breeds) are noisier and some quieter. It doesn't mean anything.

my cat meows very quietly as well, sometimes getting "stuck" meows where it just sorta cracks
it's not a big deal

once she gets on a roll, she can usually meow louder--think our kitties just need to clear their throats sometimes
