I almost can't believe it! I had thought about calling Blue's new adoptive Dad to let him know how the surgery went, but decided not to. But he called me! Now what does that say about him? I really am so happy that she is going to a really caring family!

I told her that her Dad called to check on her, but she just stared at me! LOL!

My foster kitty Blue was adopted last Saturday. However, her new owner, or "Dad" did not take her home yet, because she had her spay surgery scheduled for yesterday. So I was excited when her new adoptive "Dad" called just to check on how she was doing after the surgery. I even e-mailed him a couple of pics.

Red is still very very shy. She is not exactly feral, but where you can walk up and kiss Blue on the head, if you walk up to Red just to pet her she will run. I decided that even if she tames more, she is not a good one to rehome, because of her shy nature. She will be adopted by us, in fact my 10 y/o dd will be her owner. She has been renamed Jasmine, or Jazz for short.

I doubt she will ever be as friendly as Gar or Fest, but hopefully in time will become more comfortable with us. She does sleep with dd at night, and we do pet her sometimes, and feed her treats. But she is not a "pet" yet. I was concerned that after her spay that it would be hard to check on her, becasue sometimes I don't see her for long periods of time. But she is doing fine, and her stitches are healing well. (Same with Blue.)
