My daughter sprayed Feliway in a room full of about 5 kittens. It was sprayed about four feet in the air and it scared them all and they ran. Is there any harm in the mist possibly falling on to their fur? It wasn't sprayed directly on them, but I know the instructions clearly say not to spray it on animals.

I don't think the kittens would be harmed. Especially if they were scared by the noise of the spray, and they ran off. The first time I used Feliway, I was told to spray it on the cat, or spray it on my hands and rub it on the cat. I used it daily for about a week before I read the directions on-line and learned not to put it on the cat!

Just let her know to spray it on a blanket, or in an area in the room. Then the scent will calm the kitties, making them easier to tame.

Are the kittens wild? Were they found outside? Why is she using Feliway?!? Maybe people here can help with some advice!

We are using Feliway because of a territorial urination problem. It has helped a lot, except for the unfixed female that has a jealousy issue with the fixed female giving the fixed male attention. The unfixed female thinks the fixed male is her mate and she gets jealous and I've seen her purposely pee where she's not supposed to. She is scheduled to get spayed the first week of Feb., I hope the jealousy issue will be resolved when she is no longer in heat.

I guess I didn't realize I posted this in the Feral/Stray cat section. These kittens aren't strays or ferals. I just posted here, because it was the "Cat's S.O.S." forum, I thought this was general help for questions on cats. I'm sorry about any confusion.

Oh, that explains a lot! LOL! The SOS forum is for lots of things. I just couldn't figure out why you were using Feliway with kittens...but territorial urination of the Momma is a good reason!
