Still fumbling around the forums. Posted a few pics to the furr room but they were too big.
I need to go back are refigure them!

I've always had cats, grew up with a lady sealpoint Siamese that treated sister and I like her own kittens.Never saw her attack anyone, but she always insinuated herself between us and any stranger.

I adopted a lady sealpoint before my daughter was born. Jackie slept with me every night and was the best gal I'd known. After my daughter was born she split her time between daughter and I. Jackie kept watch on a dresser ledge just eye level with the crib, another male Himi type stayed under the crib.
We had a BBQ at the house shortly after her birth, a friend who isn't well known to the cats decided to peek in on the sleeping baby. He came back to the kitchen eyes like saucers, babbling. Seems the cats advanced on him growling and hissing-threatening to attack him. I was hardput not to laugh at him as I explained they were no threat to the baby--they thought he was a threat to her! When we moved to KSU I could only take one-Cairo found a new home that loves him as much as I do, Jackie went with us.

I lost Jackie to CRF May 19,2005..she was 19 at least. I had a hard time even though I had enough warning, it was expected. She died at home on her fleecy blanket on the couch.

Her succesor(sp?) came about 8 weeks later. I had an unreasonable feeling I'd find "the one" at a flea market in Brownsville. Never saw any cats there, Never have since that day. Found her in a tiny, tiny livetrap with 5 other kittens. I couldn't stand how badly crowded they were and set up the guy with a huge carrier and bowls for food and water. She was intent on making me notice her-only one who followed me from one side of the carrier to the other, sticking her paw through and trying to mew. She was so horribly sick she couldn't make a sound. Her brother Mox kept beside her and blocked the other kits from bumping her around. She opened her mouth soundless-he would look between us and mew for her. Mox bought himself a ticket to home!!

Myn-a remains very attached, she has to go with me or she tears through the house screaming for me. Hubby says he's glad I have found her, but wishes she could not scream so loud
. I take her when it's feasible. She rides with me on the motorcycle. Our garage/family room is set up to have the bikes inside and has french doors opening to the rest of the house. Myn knocks off any other cat that dares to sit on HER bike! If I start the bike up, Myn is at the doors clawing to get out to it. Last Friday the vet confirmed she is FeLeuk +,, I had an inkling since it took 3 months to get her well from the resp problems I had found her with. Right now her blood counts are normal. She goes for spay next week. I'll just have to watch her and make sure any colds don't get too far.

I'll try to post the link for pics.. having trouble w resizing them to post

If you have a package like Photoshop you can resize the photos before uploading them to Photobucket and that should see an end to your problems. Feel free to drop me a PM if you need some help with that.

awwwww what a wonderful introduction. It brought tears to my eyes as I read how you found Myn & Mox and how thankful I am that they have such a wonderful loving home.

I have a baby daughter and I had a chuckle reading about how Jackie & Cairo would protect your daughter. My Tipsy is very protective of Jasmine as well and its wonderful to see. I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Jackie - maybe when/ if you feel up to it you could post a tribute to her in our rainbow bridge forum so that we can all honour her
