Vet Question

Has anyone ever had any experience with VCA Animal Hospitals?

The vet that I have been going to just sold out and is now a VCA Animal Hospital. I just looked them up on the internet and it says they have 375+ clinics in the US. Just wondering if anyone had an opinion about them.

Expensive. I have had dealings with them in Albuquerque New Mexico. I have taken an animal to them once on an emergency basis, and $750.00 later euthanizing him because of cancer. My cousin took her cat there and they said the cat was fine, and he was dead 3 days later (he was blocked). If the vet you have been seeing is still practicing there and you can continue to see him and you feel comfortable with him, then by all means stay with him.

I was afraid of that - it was previously a Companion Pet Clinic, which I know doesn't always have the best of reputations, but this one was a really good one - I really, really like them.

I know not all of the 9 vets are staying, but I am concerned about price increases.
