Anyone ever organised a hen party? HELP!!!

Hello ladies!
My boyfriends best friend is getting married in July. Its an Asian wedding so it's all going to be pretty spectacular with about 4 or 5 different things all on different days. Now because most of the brides friends are Asian and live in very strict families, they are not gonna be able to plan, or probably attend her hen party. So she's asked me to do it and invite all our non-asian friends... We get on really well and see a lot of each other so I feel quite honoured. But.... What the heck do I do?
I've asked her to think about whether she'd like a weekend away, or just a night out, or to do something fun during the day - like go to a spa or something, then out at night, or what she wants but she's never been to one before, so she's pretty hopeless.
Can anyone give me ideas? I am soooo excited about this!!

For my part, I didn't realy have one, but I really did appreciate the spa day I had.

I suggest getting a hot rock massage for the bride and then all the girls getting pedis/manis, maybe facials (but NOT facials the day before the wedding.) maybe after that go out and have some drinks and party a little

It really all depends on what the bride is comfortable with. I've been to several where there were strippers or where we went to a male strip show. Those usually involved large amounts of alcohol. One was a high tea at the Ritz, another was a day at a paint your own ceramics place. A girlfriend had her hen party at a spa, where everyone ordered their treats (massage, mani/pedicure, facial, etc.) ahead of time.

Make sure you know what she wants and expects before you plan the party.

Hire sexy men and strippers

Come down to London then I can come too!

Book a table at a vip club, go for dinner then drinks and go to the club in a limo or nice car with a driver.

well i didnt really hve 1 but ive been to a few and i think a nice meal out and then to a night club and now im seein the other side of marrige

Thanks I really like the idea of a spa day. I need to talk to her properly about what she wants but she says she is so stressed out booking all the events, with an asian wedding theres about 5 different things on different days so theres a lot to organise. She doesnt really want much to do with it.
I thought about going over to Edinburgh, we are in Dundee and go out here ALL the time so it would be pretty boring for your hen night. But Edinburghs gorgeous and different.
Has anyone got any ideas other than the spa? I thought about doing something manly like go-karting because its so much fun and she actually liked that idea but I think I could come up with something better....

Paintball? Indoor rock climbing? Those things may be fun if you are looking for a manly and athletic event.

Not necessarily a manly thing lol. I just want something fun. Not tooooo expensive or people won't go but something classy and fun. I thought about the stripper thing I'll need to meet her friends from college to find out what they are like incase they'd find that offensive or something. She's going to give me everyones numbers so I should be able to get a good idea of what people are like...

It took me a minute to figure out what a hen party was LOL I call them bachelorette parties the spa day sounds great though followed by an evening of clubbing!

Sorry when I wrote the thread I could not for the life of me remember what Americans called it!!! But yes a bachelorette party!

I went to a Hen's where we had a pole dancing lesson! (The best fun ever! We even got to dress in cute little outfits!) and then went out in the city for a meal!

Or you can do a pizza, p*rn and cocktails night, where you get a few racy movies to have a good old laugh at, get a couple of pizzas and drink yourselves silly on cocktails! That way you can do it at home and not worry driving anywhere!

Crap! If they are going to Amsterdam , then you should hire strippers!

I've never organized one and only been to one, it was pretty raunchy, I don't think I'm allowed to say what was all done on here... Nothing I took part in, of course!

Jane, what a fantastic idea!!!! I've actually looked for pole dancing lessons in my area before because a few friends and I wanted to go but there wasn't anything, there might be something in Edinburgh though...
