When I got Bella and Cinders from the breeder, I was told to only feed them Whiskas Adult Jelly pouches. Given that they were only 3 months old, I wasn't sure whether they should be on adult food so I put them on Whiskas Kitten pouches instead. After about a week, I introduced them to Felix kitten pouches as well - just to give them a bit of variety. They always have dry food to graze on and fresh water

They normally get a Whiskas pouch for breakfast, Felix pouch for lunch and either Whiskas or Felix for dinner. Over the past few days, I've noticed that they don't seem to be so keen on the Whiskas anymore. They meow hungrily while I am sorting out their breakfast, but when I put it down, they lick it a bit and then head for the dry food. They are still eating the Felix fine. Do you think they are going off Whiskas?

I've also noticed that they now go through some days being starvin marvin and others where they don't seem to be very hungry. This is especially noticeable during the week whilst my husband and I are at work. If I didn't know any better, I would swear that they just sleep when we are out of the house and only come down to play and eat when we are at home

Whiskas. despite their ads, is not a good food for cats! It contains too many fillers and by products and I would not give it to kittens, whatever the breeder says. Can you get to a Pets-at-home supermarket or other big pet store and get some better quality food. They do Royal Canin or IAMS, or other better foods, both wet and dry.

My cats are picky as well, and they ae almost 6.
They REFUSE to eat sometimes, yet they fuss cause they do not like the food. it is very frustrating, as they are on a diet AND are supposed to be having prescription food.

As they are eating the dry food, maybe you could sprinkle some over the top of the wet to make it more enticing?!

I always feed a combination of wet and dry and it goes down really well!

Hmmm, that's an idea
Thanks for the tip
They really seem to be into their dry food at the moment - they have a nice selection from Royal Canin, Science Diet Nature's Best, Pro Plan, Nutrience and James Wellbeloved - maybe that's why they don't like the Whiskas anymore!

I hope it works for you too!
My three all love James Wellbeloved - I have so many different flavours in the 'cat cupboard'!!
