Hi, I'm new here, but I have read the page's articles about cats, behavior specially, and a I have a problem... I don't know to put this here or on behavior *shy*

A have a 2 and a half year old female cat, Amini, and recently, (more or less a month or two ago) an uncle gave me another kitty, a 2 month old female cat, Cleto.

I did all the what the introduction pages said, but my older cat is more passive, and not an indoor cat, even so she's neutered she loves to be outside and go to other places, a little idependant. And here comes Cleto, the new one, she's an hyperactive cat, always playing and acting as the alpha cat on my house. She thinks she's the owner of all, and even attacked at first the other habitants (two dogs and a rabbit).

And here's the problem:

Amini can't see Cleto because that cat loves to bother her, trying to play with, and in other words, all what Amini isn't. I plan to neutered her as well, but she's to little to do that, is there a way to calm the little cat? I play with her a lot hoping to tire her, but nothing works, and is a crazy one who doesn't respect anything, nor the dogs, nor my rabbit, nor Amini.

I'm afraid for Amini, she hisses and tries to scratch Cleto but Cleto doesn't understand. And still tries to play with her and I'm worried because I don't know if they'll gonna be friends sometime...

Please help

Cleto is a typical, hyperactive kitten. I don't think she actually "attacks". It's more like rough play.
I have a feeling that Amini will "discipline" her in no time if you don't interfere.

HI! I am a newbie here too! And I have the same problem.

My new Bengal kitten, Leonard, is VERY playful and VERY active. Our senior cat, Pookie, mostly eats and sleeps, it seems her playing days are over

Because he came from a busy cattery, Leonard keeps trying to play with Pookie. She is NOT interested, she hisses, growls, and sometimes swipes at him. Still, he doesn't learn-he wants a playmate!

In the beginning I was really worried for poor Leonard that she would hurt him, but he seems to hold his own around her now...jumping sideways at her rather like a hyena!

But now I am not sure which one I feel more sorry for-Pookie because she is old (her lifelong playmate, Bugsey, had to be put down in the Fall), or Leonard, because he is still in a strange place, and has no one to play with when we are at work! I want to get another Bengal, but it is hardly fair to Pookie at this point. But is it fair for both to be miserable?

Sounds like she is just being a kitten. Kittens are crazy and hyper.
Most cats calm down greatly when you spay or neuter them and she is not too young to do that. It can be done at 8 weeks.

That is not the problem though, kittens are just like that. You could get another kitten for her to play with since your older cat is not interested. Or just wait it out and she may grow out of it.

It can take cats months to tolerate and even more to actually like each other. Be patient.

My Willow came into our lives in October and things are still unsettled! As has been mentioned, it's because of having a crazy kitten about the place!

I have noticed drastic changes since then, but I know we still have a long way to go with him and Molly! (Tibby has accepted Willow pretty easily!)

I promise you that in time, your kitten and cat will both calm down! I just can't tell you when, as I'm still patiently waiting!

this is what my house was like when Cable came to us - i had 2 seven-year-old littermates who were not happy with this little runt bugging them all the time! things got better as Cable got older, & really improved when i got Java, another young cat. Cable & Java do all the running around, & Pixel is left alone...except when Cable wants to cuddle, which is okay with Pixel [most of the time
]. a 2nd younger cat might be a good idea if you have the room, finances, etc for one.

I have the time, and room... But my family could put me on the street if I bring home another kitty... They say it's enough having more animals than persons in the house... But I'm really considering a partner for Cleto. She's really really really hyperactive. And more if it can bring peace to my Amini.

And now that my poor cat is sleepy (she went under minor operation today...) Cleto still wants to play with her, ignoring again hisses and all, and still... wants to hunt down my Ceoalli... (rabbit) or at least my feet... and it hurts...
