I just have a question about my cat Tobie. He is about 7 months old...and has been good about using his litter box up til about a month ago. He started pooping outside his litter box in the basement. (we have 2 litter boxes because we have 2 cats) he is going on the unfinished part of the basement. The owners before us had 2 cats that were always in the basement, so I thought maybe is just smelled them...and I have been cleaning up after him. He has only done it a few times upstairs. Then the other morning my fiance and I were getting ready for work and Tobie looked in his litter box in the hallway...came into the bedroom and pee'ed right on my fiance's Steeler Jersey (that he didnt pick up from the night before)

I asked people at work, and they told me when I got home to press on Tobies tummy to make sure that it wasnt hard or that he didnt show any discomfort for a bladder infection, Tobie is over weight for being only 7 months, but he isnt showing any signs of anything, he is fine....his bad little self. He hasnt pee'ed outside the litter boxes since then. Could it be because there was a piece of clothing on the floor that he wasnt used to or should I just make him a vet appointment to be on the safe side?

Any ideas???????

Thanks,

Nikki

Thank you everyone.

I took Tobie to the vet tonight, and the Vet couldnt get him to give a urine sample, but he gave him a shot of penacilon (sp) just in case there was a little infection. The vet also asked if we have changed our routine around the house...but we havent...so the vet wants us to keep an eye on him to make sure he starts using the litter box...and also put him on special food. Tobie is also on a diet cause he is fat (i knew they were going to say that, so that was not a surprise.)

Has anyones cats been on Hills Perscription Diet?? I couldnt believe its $11.95 for 4lbs, but of course the cats are worth every penny. I think we might just keep them both on it....tell me your opinions on this food!

Thanks everyone. i feel a lot better...lets just hope the little one does too!

My cats HATE this stuff.
I have to mix it with other food, and even then use just a little of the Hill's.

THanks everyone. Its hills C/D, and my vet says it is completly okay for both cats to eat it. My cats are wierdo's...they both love the stuff...! Tobie is acting better already...he is playing a lot more then he was, so it must be helping!
