I recently bought dry Innova Evo. It's supposed to have lowest carbs of any dry available. I'd like to hear from anyone who'd fed it, positve and negative feedback. I strive to feed my 6 the best I can afford, but am reluctant to try new foods without samples...Any comments would be greatly appreciated(I'm new here
)

Thanks. Jen

I found it far too rich... I personally love the thought of a low carb but the dry form seems to have a few kinks in it ... I feed natural choice to one... and raw to the other ... The dog loves evo but it is a bit rich and contains garlic that is no longer on the menu...

My cats loved it, but had chronic diarreha while on it. It seemed to rich and heavy for them to process.

However, some people have had good luck with it.

I love the stuff and so do my cats. It's unaffordable for me (11 of my own + 14 adolescent fosters + student loans and $8/hr job = very poor me!), but I'd definitely feed it if I could.

It gave both my cats diarrhea, but they both loved it. I ended up switching them to Natural Balance.

It's a really good food... but too rich usually for the average cat.

If I had a Bengal I might feed it alongside RAW food. I looked into getting it for my dogs, but with the high protein it would be typically best for very ACTIVE animals. You know professional dog agility dogs, sled dogs, etc.

I love it & neither cat has any problems with it. It can get to be quite espensive, though. I feed them other foods along with the EVO. They get wet food twice a day & then dry to snack on in between meals. I offfer them Nutro, Felidae, or Royal Canin a couple of meals a week to give them a change in foods.

I bought a bag of Evo and my kitties won't touch it, so I'm out almost 20 bucks. Personally I think the stuff smells bad. If it is supposed to be a raw diet, how can there be a "cooling process" in making the stuff?

I feed raw meals twice a day but keep a bowl of EVO down otherwise for my growing pair. They love it and eat tons of it- I really don't know where they are putting it all!

None of my 4 have had a problem with it and we have been feeding it for over a year and have a kitty with a sensitive tummy.

Personally I recommend it, a lot of my friends feed with with no problems as well, but every cat is different so get a small bag until you see how yors adapts and make the changeover slowly

At FIRST my kidties would not touch it either. THEY prefered Solid Gold. Then Missy had her teeth pulled due to stomatitis, and I got samples of Innova light and EVO (THOUGHT the Evo Sample was innova) and fed them to her as she was refusing to eat anything. She LOVED the samples of EVO and then the ohter 3 decided if SHE would eat it so would they. NOW I feed it and Innova light (except to Kotton who is too overweight but she sneaks and eats their's any time she can).

It DOES stink though! I stop breathing each time I refill their bowls and I wonder if mayb that is why Panther's poops smell so bad though the others don't!

Even without havng carbs it DOES make a cat gain weight. Ben is now close to 14 pounds since eating Evo and he is usually just a nibbler.
