Forgive me if somebody already posted this. I have done a lot of reading and it appears that I should be feeding little Saba strictly Maine Coon food and giving her hairball remedy. The problem is that Saba, who is only 4.5 lbs, hates Maine Coon food -it's too big for her tiny jaw, and prefers to eat the regular cereal Sasha eats. She has never had a hairball in the past year, either, she's only about 20 months, a rescue.

So should I keep on going with no changes, even though she's very healthy and happy, or do I need to strictly subscribe to this Coon-type regime?
Thanks~~

I am unsure about the breed specific foods... the ingrediants look all quite close to one another... I would advise looking at the protein fat and fiber since you havent had hairball issues and then look at a food with a smaller kibble and that possible the other kitties can eat too...

That's just it, it all runs together and my eyes glaze over. Sasha has been on, yes, Friskies, for 14 years and he's strong as an ox. SiSi was the same for 11 years. Saba really is my only one that is "more specific"....and I want to prepare her right for the future as she ages....

I would just have you look at the higher end hairball foods.... I can think of four or five small kibble sizes and tasty with hairball stuff in them... If you want them just hollor.. is she sensative to any ingrediants??

No, just Miss Diva picky

Yes. I would love to know. I've been working long hours and anything would help right now, if I had the information. When I get home, honestly, I don't feel like shopping or surfing the net to find stuff. If you have the names handy then that's great. Thank you~~

oh first I have to say, your little main coon looks exactly like mine..
IT was like looking at him in your pic, except mine is a little younger only about 16 weeks. now if you dont mind my asking, what is main coon food? I have never heard of this, right now Minx is on chicken soupe for the kitten lovers soal, but i too are concerned with hairballs, even tho he has never had one yet,
