Im watching it again on TV now for the millionth time it seems. I never get sick of that movie. It was probably the best movie adaptation of a Stephen King story ever. Morgan Freeman, Tim Robbins and a host of other great actors. Something about that flick that never gets old.

Can't change the channel if I stumble on it. One of my top 5 all-time favorite movies.

Anything by Stephen King! I'm a King freak! Problem is some of his movies weren't made to do justice to his writing, but I do love Shawshank. Love the Shining and the Stand was great!

I love The Shawshank Redemption, and will never tire of watching it. Every year or so I will watch it in full if it's on TV.

I've watched it at least 10 times, it's definitely one of my favorite movies of all time. Very powerful.

Yeah, somehow the horror of a Stephen King book doesn't translate well to screen. I think it's because much of the strength of his writing comes from characterization, and either that's hard to get across in a horror story, or the directors just don't have the vision to get 'er done.

Anyway, here's another vote for Shawshank Redemption and also one of my favorite (and most underappreciated, at least by the critics) authors of all time, Stephen King.
