I think you misunderstood me because above is exactly what I meant. I stated that those breeders that breed INTENTIONALLY AND FOR PROFIT are backyard breeders. You are correct in that ethical breeders do it for the love of the breed and not for the almight $$$. Ethical breeders rarely make a profit off of their kittens/puppies.

Don't get me wrong, I like the almighty $$ just as much as the next guy, but breeding is one of the best ways I know to lose the great abundance of those $$, not find them!
