Actually, essential oils can be toxic to cats, so I'd leave the tea tree oil alone.
I have in my little first aid kit:
-A few cans of Hill's A/D
-Unflavored Pedialyte
-A syringe
-A bag of fluids to give Sub-Q (Which I have been trained by a vet to do)
That's all right now. I've been trying to build one up recently and I'll be interested to hear what responses you get.
You can try doing a google on this subject as well... I know companies (and possibly the red cross) sell pre-made pet first aid kits as well as give classes on pet CPR and first aid (my mom took the class for our dog at my High School's night school and also bought the kit).... I know the kits aren't that expensive and include all the basics in a neat little case - there may be a few cat-specific things you might want to add on your own... luckily we've never had to use ours but it's great to have on hand!
I know that there is a lot on essential oils being bad for cats, but tea tree oil is a great wound healer for cats, rats and fish provided it is diluted (a few drops to 200 mls of water).
But this is only one opinion and should always be taken with caution.
Yeah, I actually heard that tea tree oil is one of the WORST things out there for cats. I ended up dumping all of my tea tree oil products in the trash because I didn't want to risk it.
Thank you very much everyone you were a big help I have a 6 month old kitten and eight week old kitten that's really going to come in handy but she had a big long list on my get on it right away thank you ladies
