hey there guys!

I've got a really flusterating problem I hoped over the week I could solve it but no luck....

I fed my cats on canned food mainly, not much dry as they wriggle there noses up.

I read up on this site, about how bad the junk food cat food was, I got upset, and threw out every tin, and went to my nearest pet store.

Firstly I bought james wellbeloved biscuits, Missy sort of sniffed them an ate a few the kittens wolfed them down....

over the next few days they got bored and refused to eat it so.... back to my petstore I go....

They sell lots of dry but not alot of good brand canned, only Iams and Hills.

I decided to go for, Science plan hills, kitten tins for my kittens, and various falvours in adult for my adult kitty Missy.

they lapped it down and really enjoyed it. I went back for kitten and adult dry by hills, kittens ate it Missy refused only had her wet, i mean literally if you put the plate down she runs away.
Maybe she just doesn't like it? though I find it odd she did eat a few james wellbeloved before.... SO....

I go back, pick up a few more cans of hills, and try Pro plan for Missy.... I put a few on her wet food she eats a fwe biscuits leaves the rest, While i'm emptying there litter boxes, the kittens Star and Simba, are pinching what Missy left....

now they will only eat there food including Hills biscuits with a few of Missys pro plan on WHICH SHE WONT TOUCH.

They were like this with the jumk food cans I gave them all, they had to have same flavour as Missy, maybe tbey want what mummys got i'm not sure....

I just want them all to have canned in monring an night, and some dry during day....

i'm thinking of buying, Nutro dry, for them both, and tryingto get Missy to eat them, an feed her in seperate place so kittens don't even know what she's having.

it seems to be stressing Missy out that they want to constantly know what shes eating, Star somestimes trys to suckle, but Missy bolts away. Maybe feeding her just the wet for now, in a seperate place, an introduce them all to Nutro? what do you think?

I have been having similar problems. I am currently putting out a 5.5 ounce can in the morning, a can at night, and a cup of dry morning and night in their big bowl to nibble. Not all of mine like wet. I was feeding Iams dry but now I switched to Nutro dry a few days ago. I am gradually mixing it in and changing over completely soon. I put out 3 plates so some can share and some can eat alone, so they're not stressing each other. One company makes a kind for all life stages, maybe try that, but I don't know who. I know someone will be along shortly to tell you.
By the way, Star has the cutest face ever!

Cassie won't eat anything but dry food. Luna eats dry and wet, but seems to rely mostly on the dry to fill her needs. Sophie is a little piggy, she eats wet and loves it, eats dry and loves it, and will come eat whatever wet Luna didn't finish. I guess it all works out in the end around here. You just have to find a compromise between all your gang, as well.
It's trial and error! Good luck!

Go back to what they were eating before. You do not want your cats to stage a hunger strike. They need to eat. If the food was working, why change it out?

Don't judge your food solely by what you read on this site. Learn to read the ingredients list for yourself and make your own judgments. Some of the same brand names in your country that are poorly spoken of by people in the U.S. have entirely different ingredients in the U.K.

For now, go back to the original food. And if you decide to make a switch, do so very gradually over the course of several weeks.

I changed there old food, as they went off it, it smelt awful, it made me feel sick.

they were happy on it, but they got bored.

I found a site which sells Nutro in the UK, thinking of getting some dry and wet, I couldn't see Nutro kitten wet though, are the adult tins ok to give them? theres no ingrediants list for me to see whats in it.

of course i'd be giving them nutro kitten dry as well.

theres also Cosma and Almo nature on there? maybe wet for them all, and dry nutro?
let me know what you think.
