hi!!! well... i was just wondering what some of your opinions are on the fact that my 2 new kittens dont sleep with my husband and i. we've had them for 3 days now, and at night they dont get in bed with us! we've never had a kitten/cat that didn't want to be in our bed with us 24/7! i just think it's weird! the oldest one, our boy, kramer... he'll get up there on the bed with us for a little bit but he never gets comfortable. he just smells around and then he's on his way. they slept in the room with us last night but not in the bed... anyway... just wondering... thanks!

With a few of mine it took them a little while to settle in to their new surroundings before they decided that they owned my bed. Now DH and I are hard pressed to find any room for ourselves in that bed. 5 of the 6 that we have wish to sleep in it. The other one sleeps with my son.

It does just take a while I think. Our first cat Kipper didnt want to sleep with us for a while because he was so busy checking everything else out, and where he could find a cool sleeping place. He soon found out that it is in fact in the bed (after a few weeks), and now he practically sleeps on our heads. The other kitty that we got , Mushi, has learned that our heads are the most comfy spot too. So, we also have hardly no room left on the bed.
They'd prefer my 2 year olds bed, but Kipper is so fat, if he slept on her face, she'd suffocate, and we cant have that...so her door stays shut. She'd love to sleep with him too, but I just cant risk anything like that.

Most kittens are too rambunctious to stay in one place too long or love up on you for too long. Once they get a little older, they'll get more lovey with you.

Harley didn't sleep with us at first either - he sleeps with us every once in awhile, otherwise he sleeps wherever he wants!
I love when he sleeps with us tho, having that purring little monster next to me at night is so comforting!

My older two have always slept with us. The two kittens don't really, but they may think it is the other two cats territory.

George has been in bed with us since day one. Gracie shows up in bed at night on occasion. Last Thursday, Gracie jumped in bed while I was brushing my teeth. She stayed for 5 hours. That was nice, but very, very rare. Give it time.
