I went ice skating yesterday!!!
*is excited like a little kid*
I did really well, i only half fell once because i had a friend who held my hand the whole time

Have you ever been ice skating before? and want to share us your embarrasing moment??

I sooooo want to become one of those dancers on TV that are on ice.

I've been ice skating a few times, but I am really not very good at it. But it is really fun!

I only do well if I skate for at least like 4 hours, then I get the hang of it but of course by that time we have to go

I haven't done it in 9 years, we had to in school. I wasn't great, but could do some basic jumps etc. I hate skates though, they hurt my feet.

I have only been once, I went on a school trip with the children. I did really well, I didn't fall down once
. Mind you, I was on pretty safe ground as I can't recall ever actually letting go of the side
. I am definitely NOT one of life's risk takers!

I used to ice skate ALL the time when I was younger, up until my mid-teens, but I haven't done much of it since. I need to get into decent shape first! I am working on it.
I actually was planning on picking up a new pair of skates, but we haven't had much of a winter here and the lake near my place isn't frozen over.

I used to go to the arena every sunday. =) My grandparents would take me after they got home from church. I could go fast.. but I still fell alot..
Though I ahven't been for around 4 years now.. and afraid to go back, because I know I will fall on my butt!

Well, I grew up in FL, and, well, there isn't too much ice to go around down there!
I've only iceskated a few times and generally found it to just be an exercise in falling on my arse....which I can generally manage to do just walking around.

Living in Maine. I spent most of my childhood winters skating. We had a good sized pond bordering our land that all the neighborhood skated at. Nights we had bonfires burning on the pond to keep warm My grandmother also had a pond close enough for me to walk to with my skates on.
We played Wolf and sheep and crack the whip for hours on week ends.
I was 6 years old when I got my first pair of single blade skates for Xmas. I was thrilled. Before that it was double blades to learn on.
I skated up into my mid 30s. I tried to get my boys skating. But I guess skating belongs back in the good old days. They'd rather stay home on computers and play stations!
I haven't been in at least 10 years. But it likes riding a bike you never forgot how. After a few times around the pond I know I'd be ok!

I LOVE skating...I've been on skates since I was 5 and while I'm not a PRO, I'm pretty good at it. Ian's mom, on the other hand, was a pro figure skater in her day...going to ice capades and nat'l championships.

I can barely stay up even with just boots on! I have to wear spikes when I'm out ice fishing. I would love to know how though!

I have my ice skates from high school (hmmm vintage now!!) I have old ankle injuries from that time period therefore ankles not good for skating (I do have snowshoes and cross county skis however)
