I am thrilled to be a new member of this forum. I really only had 1 question which I posted about first, but I can see that this site is really going to be a wealth of knowledge for me. I am only going on 3 years of cat ownership and feel like I've learned a lot, but I love seeing this many opinions on different subjects. My 2 1/2 year old cat is formally named Mister Pickles, but as that is a mouthful to say each time, he goes by Kitty. Kitty is a tuxedo, he's fat and he's very very fickle. He hardly likes to be petted, but sometimes, when I sit in my papasan chair he'll climb up in my lap and make a little bed so that I'll rub him. His favorite game is fetch with big paperclips, I have found a number of paper clips in my purse/backpack when I leave and go somewhere, it's always good for a smile. My little kitten Stanley is about 10 months old and is the most loving kitten I've ever met. It's nice to have a cat that will jump up on my lap within 5 minutes, no matter where I sit down.
Stanley is all black and he is about half the size of big Kitty. Taking in Stanley was one of the best things I've ever done. Now when I'm gone for the day I don't have to stress because I know they can play together, or snuggle up together, both of which they do quite frequently.
So that's my cats, and as for me, I just graduated from James Madison University in Dec. with my BS in Biology. I'm working at Cracker Barrel still because in June I'm going back to school. I'll be going into the School of Medical Technology at the local hospital. But, anyway, I'm glad to have a place I can show my true colors as a crazy cat lady at the age of 23!
