I'm not a man of wealth and fame, just your standard pet owner. Or do they own me? Anyway many of you may have heard about me from long time member and my beautiful wife Talon. I've finally decided to come over here and have a look around for myself.
For those of you who arn't familiar with Talon we have 11 parrots and 5 cats. All the cats are black. Sort of. One's got a white spot on his belly and our long hair cat Max is really a smoke type color.
I have retired and Talon still works so it's my job basically to keep this mob clean and safe. Our cats are pretty well behaved amongst the birds but there are occasional "lapses" that they seem to have with the smaller birds. Usually it doesn't take more then a holler to divert their attention. As far as my larger birds, some of these cats have faced the "beak" and found out that 1000 lbs per square inch of pressure, well, kinda hurts. They usually make a break for it if they get to close.
I do have a Cocaktoo that is pretty tolerant of one of our cats. Ravin will sit on my lap and Tyler (bird) will allow some closeness....although there are times when they do remind each other they are natural enemies. But they do get along part of the time.
Anyway hope to meet and get to know some of you. I can be very opinonated when it comes to care of animals, specially birds. I'm not tolerant of people who adopt and come up with lame excuses to give away their requested responsibility. And I'll tell them so straight out. But most of the time I'm a pretty nice guy. Heck, Talon has told me many times I'm a legend in my own mind!
