Hi:

I am looking for feeding suggestions for my new kitty. He is a 10lb. Maine Coon mix and I am going to try to feed him canned food. I have had him since Monday and he has only eaten a tiny bit of food. Tonight, he ate the canned food for the first time. At the Humane Society, he was eating dry food and he has been eating a bit of Purina One since being home.

I used to free feed my beloved Barnaby but it seems from what I have read that two meals per day is the better way.

Thanks for any input!

I feed wet morning and night and free feed about 1/3 to 1/2 cup dry during the day for 2 cats.

Thank you for the info. Yes, Charlie (approx 4 years old) has been to the vet and has been given a clean bill of health. Today is day 5 and aside from being afraid of the rest of the family, he is doing well. He did eat some wet food this AM and looks like he finished the dry overnight. He also used his litterbox again which I am really happy about. I will be back with more questions for sure.

Thanks again!!

Lisa
