Just wanted to let those of you who so kindly replied to my "nervous" post that Charlie is doing very well. He has now pottied 3 times in his box and is beginning to eat. I took him to the vet yesterday and she said he is fine and just getting adjusted to his new environment. She gave me some Hills a/d and he ate a little tonight but so far seems to prefer dry food. (I have Purina One but plan on getting him on a better food right away.) He loves me and he has me wrapped around his little paw. My baby that just passed away was a Maine Coon mix and I knew from experience that this was the breed for me. It is amazing how bonded we are in just a few short days. When I leave for any length of time and return, he runs up to me and puts his paws on my thighs so that I will pick him up. He then puts his paws around my neck and rubs his face against mine. He is also very vocal and he sleeps with me at night. He is such a sweetie....very reminiscent of my Barnaby.

I have learned so much in just a few days on these forums. You are a very loving and helpful group. We look forward to getting to know you better.

Thanks again!

I have a maine coon. Of all the cats I've had throughout my life, the maine coons are the ones I bonded closest with. My present cat Babie, is my second maine coon. The first one I had Missy, died last yr. and about killed me. They just have the best personalities. Both my MC were strays I adopted. Good luck with Charlie! Glad to hear he's doing well.

We also have maine coon cats that is all we have and they are great my cats really love the royal caine maine coon formula that is meant for them and it is specially made for them and there needs and we also mix that with the indoor formula. my mom who loved them was incontact with a breeder and they told her to uses this food so i dont know if it helps him eat or not
