Please excuse the question, im not trying to be gross or funny but I have to ask...have any of you ever seen a newborn kitten with huge testicles? One of my male kittens was born with absolutely huge testicles. He is now 4 days old and I just can't believe what im seeing.
I wish I could post a pic but I can't so if anybody wants to see a pic (although the pic is not a very clear shot), email me and i'll send it to you.
Is this normal? I mean, most of my male kittens in the past were easy to distinguish from the females but this guy is just freakish!

the only kitten i've had this season, Rumour has it, had massive testicles till he was about two weeks old - luckily they sort of evened out with the rest of him in the end but omg they were huge!

Ok that's good to know. I am hoping there won't be a problem. They look like fully formed adult testicles but in miniture size (but way bigger then what a newborn kitten should have).

That's what I was thinking. I wonder if it would make a difference on fertility though...probably not.
He is beautiful though and I think he'd make a great breeder regardless of his testicle size.

Human babies , both male and female, are born with enlarged /swollen genitals, so why not cats? I imagine they will start to look more proportional before long. (This is coming from a pretty new to kittens but very experienced with human babies person)

Well, I know Oliver's EARS were very big when he was about 4 wks old, and he grew into them. I'd say give it a week or so and maybe they'll uh, calm down....

This may be a sign of, um, "misplaced suckling" on the part of one of his siblings. I had this happen once. Try isolating and bottle feeding him for a day or so and see if they take on a more normal size.

It is very unlikely to be his testicles since they don't normally descend until 6 weeks or so.

No, he was born with the huge testicles so it couldn't be due to that. They are definately testicles. Very well defined ones at that.
