Hello, My name is Cris and I have been visiting this site since last summer when I fostered and adopted a stray/feral little kitten. This forum has been a life saver for me and I decided it was time to join.
My kitty's name is Kabou. Kabou was around 8 weeks old when I found her hiding under a car crying, scared and hungry. Because of her fear, I could not capture her for 2 weeks, but did provide her with food and water. Once safely captured, I decided to foster her for a friend who was on vacation and wanted to adopt her. It took a full week of socializing to get to the point where she would touch my hand. Needless to say, the fostering experience hooked me and there was no way I was going to hand over to someone else this precious beautiful soul who had worked so hard to overcome her fear.
Kabou is now around 9-10 months and doing great, except for her extreme fear of strangers. I have read the posts on the fear issue which have been very helpful. I will post a picture of Kabou in "Fur Pictures Only" soon.
