Hi all,

Singa is now approx. 7-8 months old. For the last 1-2 months she has become very cuddly and is always happy to see me and spend time with me.... mostly in the mornings IN my face/hair etc. always purring on and on and on... When I pet her especially when it's near the rear end she will lift her hiney and tail up all the way - no matter if she is sitting or laying down or whatever....
However she isn't too vocal... only chatting a bit as she moves around. Not really crying in an annoying way...
So what is this? Is she in heat? Or on the way there? I wanna have her fixed beginning of Feb... is this possible then?

I appreciate your advice!

She should have moved into heat already. Is there an intact male cat in your home, or is she let outside?

Nope. she is indoor and living on the 11th floor. So unless cats can fly there will be no male cat around

I have heard very weird stories about cats in heat and Singa just seems to be all cuddly and relaxed.

All the females I have had are very vocal when they are in heat- they do the raised tail, the quivering against the walls, the trying to get out the door, and the rolling and rubbing on the floor.

She will roll on the floor but only when she is playing with a string or something so I don't think it's an unsusual behavior. Quivering against wall? How do they express that?
