I bought some this afternoon.

Up until now, the kitty has had no interest in toys or his scratching post, and has been scratching the rug and the couch instead, and driving me nuts because he is bored.

I sprayed a couple of small toys and the scratching post, and now he is contentedly batting a toy mouse around on the floor. A minute ago he was scratching right where he is supposed to.

YAY.
had to share.

Yay!! Good kitty! That's great - I've never heard of catnip spray before, though. Sounds like it works really well. I've been trying for awhile to get my cats not to scratch up the furniture, I've kind of given up now. I'll have to try that sometime!

It cost my 6 dollars, and according to the bottle the only things in it are the essential oil of the catnip plant and water. I figured it has to be safe too!

I tried it once with my cat Cinders and she ignored it totally! She liked ordinary catnip though. I can't get it here so have not used it with my five guys. Maybe I will get some when I go back to the UK in February.

I bought a can of catnip spray for Twitch & Lily, too. I sprayed their favorite beds lightly. I also sprayed their tosy & scratching posts. Later that day I found Twitch rolling around with the can of catnip spray. She doesn't seem too impressed by it when it is on anything, she just
the can of spray!
All well. At least now Lily uses the scratching post all of the time. Soon I can stop using nail caps.

I got catnip bubbles. The kind like when you were a little kid and blew bubbles with the little plastic wand in the bottle of soapy water.
It works about the same way.

I recently bought him a scratching post too but he perfers the couch. I spray the post with catnip spray and that don't work. I may try spraying the sofa with the stuff that's supposed to keep kittens away. I will post picture of my post later.
