I grew a flat of barley and oats for my cat, she paws them and recoils as if it's excrement. Even when I model chewing them, nothing !
Is she too young? they are pretty greens but am I wasting my time?
Can cats eat parsley?
Sprouts?
Are there other herbs they like?

She is still young and hasn't developed any interest in or reaction to catnip but if she ever does I will grow that too.

Are these herbs the same as what they use in cat grass? If not, you could try the cat grass.

it is a product supposedly for cats. I tasted them and they are sweeter and not bitter like lawn grass. But so far nothing. and they are within her reach. I even dagled some toys in there to entice her closer, but nope, she just recoils in complete disgust. go figure.

You could try Cyprus grass - some cats prefer that to oat grass, and it tends to last a lot longer. You have to buy the plant, though. You can later grow more by dividing the roots.

my cat is a catnip junkie!!
chloe a little patch of catnip, hoping it would survive the cold to be replanted. the poor plant never even made it a week; chloe was attacking it before i could pull it out of the bag lol
she gnawed it to death; i was concerned it would give her a tummy ache but it didnt seem to bother her. she chewed it down so much that she knocked it off the shelf to get to the roots.
