My step-dad's dream came true today...

He got his pilots license!!!!!!

It's been his dream since he was a kid, but he became a dad early, so that went on hold. 23 years later, he has finally gotten his dream fulfilled! I am soooo proud of him!!!

Now I want to find him a special gift....any ideas!?!

Maybe you could find him an antique pair of wings on Ebay or something? Design him his own unique flyer's patch (you could probably do something like this at a custom embroidery place)... get him a very cool pilot's logbook? Get him a nice model of his favorite kind of plane to put together? (If you have one) Frame the picture of him with his pilot's license and the plane he got it with? Get him a pilot's jacket and sew on the afore mentioned wings and patch?

How exciting and wonderful for your dad - he deserves it!!

That's awesome. Does he have a favourite aircraft? or the aircraft he passed his license in? perhaps you could get him a model airplane of one of them.

I always thought I`d get my license . When I was young and we spent 2 years in Liberia, I used to ride with our pilot whenever i got the chance. (Did`nt matter where he was going!) He used to let me "fly" the plane. We`d roll the plane and buzz the airstrip upside down...just to freak my Mom out.
How glorious...with an ocean of sky beneath and the earth looming overhead!
Fly with him as often as you can....He`ll love that most of all! *sighs of envy inserted here*

Hmmm.....thoes little chocolate things with the toys are calling my name..... If he flys me there, you have to help me around because I know absolutely no German! Unless most people in Germany know some Spanish, then I'm still stuck but he could help me out! Shame on me huh? I think I have some family over there!


Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I told my mother about getting a picture of him with the plane. I think she's planning on doing it. From what I hear, 'the guys' at the aero club are harassing him thoroughly!
