OK, so I'm an idiot

Everyone else left early. They even said 'bye. Here I am waiting for my DF and my neighbor to bring me my keys so I can lock up and go home. I grabbed the wrong set this morning and I DON'T HAVE MY WORK KEYS!

Oh that stinks! At least your not stuck outside! Hope you get home soon!

I can remember walking out one day with keys in my hands, going to open the car door...and realizing they were the office keys and my house keys were upstairs on the keyrack.

It's ok, we all have those "I'm such an idiot" days sometimes...

I do hope you are able to go home soon.

That's not so bad. At least you didn't lock yourself out of work or your house.

I have those just about everyday!

My day started like that too! I forgot my work ID and key which is majorly inconvenient b/c every single door in the building needs it. Luckily I borrowed the temp badge, but i still kept locking myself out of my office from the keyed door and having to walk around. I also slipped on the ice, and got snow in my shoes!!
I'm chalking it up to the fact it was a long weekend and I'm out of routine!!

Hey, at least you had keys when you went out - the number of times I've locked myself out is just scary! I go out, shut the door (which automatically locks behind me, and THEN I realize that my pockets aren't jingling.....

I feel better now. At least I'm in good company. I told my boss about it this morning. There was an extra key in his desk the whole time!

Once I was here, told everybody else to go home early...
When I went to lock up, I didn't have my keys as you did, but DIDN'T have anyone to phone at my house to bring them to me....
I was panicking...then had to phone a co-worker...who said "NO!" (he has never liked me and is a bit of an odd duck...later after having to explain to my boss why he wouldn't come down, he said that I told him I wanted to borrow his keys for a few days...duh,whatever)...

I ended up searching the whole office and ultimately finding my spare key here...

One weekend I had to work. I couild not find my work badge ANYWHERE. My co-worker was on vacation- but I had her friend Paula's cell phone number, so I called her to see if her badge was somewhere I could get it. At first she thought it was in her house, so she had me call her neighbor to see if he had the spare key, no dice. Then she remembered that it was in her car, which was parked at her friends house in another part of the state. She had me call her friends kid. The conversation went like this.. Is this Paula's son.. Well I work with her friend and I need to get in her car to get her work ID- will you be home to let me get in? After about 2 hours of aggravation I was all set.

The kicker is- my badge turned up miraculously a few days later

2 yrs ago my parents went on vakation for 2 weeks and left me my two sister and brother home alone thinking they could trust us
me and my younger sister missed the bus and locked ourselves out. so we went to our friends house and called in sick.
the school tried to phone our house but there was no answer so they send someone over. later in the day they even called the cops and questioned my brother and sister who were currently in exams
finally they thought of going over to my friends house and look for us.
we ended up having to tell the truth of our parents being on vakation and how we skipped school and had to apolagize for the trouble we gave the school secratary
