Who is going to watch American Idol tonight?

I don't want to ruin it for anyone that has not yet seen it yet - but I was a little surprised at the bottom 3 tonight.

Although I did LOVE Melissa shirt she was wearing tonight!

I was too, but this happens all the time. Callers think that certain people are safe, so they throw their votes to the more vulnerable (*ahem*...Kevin, I'm looking at you here!). My guess is that those two will not make an appearance in the bottom three for awhile. Now that their fans had a scare, they're going to be calling. I think we'll start to see some of the more "middle" people go, like Bucky. I understand people like Kevin, personally I don't get it but that's beside the point. But there's "one" every season who inexplicably hang on far longer than they should despite a distinct lack of singing talent (Nicky season 1, Carmen S2, (something) Federov). I also think Lisa will go far sooner than she should because although she's talented, she lacks personality, whereas a less talented person, like Kellie will make it longer because people like her. I'm afraid that the same will go for Elliot. He has far more talent than Ace, but he'll probably go sooner.

I can't believe that, I wanted Kevin to go...and I was suprised that Lisa was in the bottom three....I wish we could vote for who we wanted to go home...I would vote kevin all night...lol

Melissa forgot her words so I think that is the main reason she got the boot.

I understand! I hate seeing it first and note being able to say anything until the next morning!

I wasn't shocked by Ace being in the bottom 3. I was shocked by Kevin NOT being in the bottom 3. Obviously his fans are really calling in.

I LOVED Melissa's top as well!!!!! I just don't get the Kevin Factor!!!!!!!!!! I have three teenage sons and Kevin just doesn't come across as a teenage sex machine!!!!

I enjoy the show and watch it faithfully but I never vote. Do you vote?

According to the American Idol website, next week's theme is songs of the 50's.

When it hit the final 3 last year, I did vote for Bo each week. I only voted once, not thousands of times like some people do.

I was SO mad that Kevin was not in the bottom three. Ace is my favorite (and Chris), but I was just shocked that Ace was in the bottom 3 and Kevin wasn't. I'm definately ready for him to leave!

Sex appeal? Seriously people, I don't get it!

I want Melissa's top, I thought it was stunning! Wonder where I can get one...

Me too I probably only voted 5 times last year....but this year I vote at least five times each night for Chris...I dont want what happened last year to happen this year (bo didn't win )

I don't vote. I like to watch the show and let everyone else decide!

When the show first started, he was like fingernails on a chalkboard to me. Although it hurts me to say this, he really has improved a lot in the past few weeks, and I don't find him anywhere near as irritating as I did at first. His "Woos and Whoas" have got to go though!

I really don't like Taylor all that much either. How old is he? I know he is young but that hair, couldn't he dye it or something. Itt makes me thing he is like 50!!

He's only 29!!

I don't know, there is something about him that just drives me up the wall, like he's trying to act younger and fit in with the others. IMO, he ranks up there with Kevin!

I love Chris tho, him and Ace are my favorite!

Well I wasn't surprised to see Melissa go. Don't they get a clothing allowance now-maybe if you go on the American Idol website it might mention her top-I thought it was cute too!!

I want a free clothing allowance!!!

Ace just isn't doing it for me. He's cute, but I think his performances are getting weaker every week. Hopefully he will outlast Kevin, but I don't see him going too far in the competition.

I could not believe that Kevin wasn't even in the bottom 3. I guess those 11 year old girls have nothing better to do than redial for 2 hours.

I'm also in the "don't like Taylor" club! I liked him at first, but his jerky movements are just way too much for me. Now I can't stand him, although I do think he is talented. One of the websites that writes reviews calls him Taylor "Ticks"

Do any of you guys watch Nashville Star (on USA Network)? On that show, you vote for who you want kicked off - I think it's a lot more accurate. I think a lot of people want Kevin gone, but their votes are spread out among the other 11 people.

btw, Melissa's shirt was awesome

....and the reason that Kevin stayed on and probably will for at least a few more weeks is....

www.votefortheworst.com which has chosen Kevin as their poster child for the year. Apparently Kelly is their second choice.

BTW, there is a link to an article that says that Bo only lost to Carrie last year by 134 votes. I didn't realize it was that close!
