Bucky has a sweet smile. I am surprised that he is not more popular with the young girls.
He may be a little to rough around the edges.
I was amazed by his twin last week. They looked so much alike it was like having 2 Buckys on stage.

DH only taped the first hour!!! There was an article in last nights paper that gave strengths and weaknesses of the top 12. This article selected mandisa as the winner with Chris in 2nd place!!

Chris was lucky that he found that song, and he did it very well.

Kevin has GOT to go! Hopefully the over 90 and under 10 crowd couldn't stay up that late to vote. He is so out of his league now, and the whole "sex symbol" thing is just getting old.

Although Mandisa has one of if not the best voice(s), and I'm really pulling for her (fat chikks unite!), I don't think she'll be in the top two. When it comes down to it, America is a little hearing impaired but their eye sight is pretty good and most people are quite shallow. They want someone "pretty" as the American Idol. Face it - Ruben didn't get nearly as many endorsements and specials as the prettier winners (although - what happened to Fantasia?). Carrie was hawking candie bars before she even hit the recording studio.

Right now I'm thinking Kathryn and Chris will probably be the top two.

I agree, Kevin should be outta there!!!!! I like Bucky, seems like a nice guy, but his rendition of Superstitious curled my hair it was so bad. There are at least 5-6 great performers, it will be hard to narrow down. Katherine was real strong last night. Kellie got dissed by the judges but I thought she did fine...she is so gracious to the judges, telling them "sorry" when they mauled her. I hope she gets to stay for now.

Why did Simon tell her she looked like Dolly Parton!! That was awful! He is so crude! I tohught she looked beautiful last night!!

I thought that was rude as well, although Dolly Parton is and was quite beautiful in her day. I think Kelly could get a buzz cut and still look beautiful anyway. I thought Simon's wise crack about Buckey's hair was out of line too. I thought he looked pretty good in it. It looks like it would take an
F-5 tornado to move Simon's frozen locks anyway. Who is he to critcize hair????

That is so true! i missed the comment about Buckey. What did he say? I really dislike Simon in every possoble way.

I kind of agree with him on that. It wasn't the clothes - it was the HAIR! It looked horrible on her, I thought. I thought the new stylists did some butcher jobs. Kelly's hair was awful, Bucky's hair was WAY too big, putting Mandisa in those pumps was stupid, and Katheryn looked like someone's grandmother (except for the neckline) in that dress.

he said something like "...and whats with the Jessica Simpson haircut" (or hairstyle)....a completely lame comment

He doesn't need to critic them on their looks at this point because like you said hey have the stylists doing it now.

Do they have to wear the style exactly the way the stylist did them up? The whole point of American Idol is finding what the public likes not what they think the public likes right?

Do you really think Kevin knows people are laughing about the sex symbol joke? He really did give Simon tit for tat about his comment though.

I thought Eliott did the best last night, the judges kept saying the singers needed to be original, but how can you be original with a Stevie Wonder song? I think the goal would be to sound like him as much as possible, and Eliott definitely did that. I also liked Mandisa, Katharine and Taylor. Kevin has got to go! Everytime I see him he reminds me more and more of Chicken Little Chris did a good job, but I thought the music was waaaaay to loud, it almost drowned him out!

I thought that was hysterical. The hair was horrible!

OK, Simon really is mean, but sometimes there is truth in what he says. He just needs to phrase it a little better. At least he is honest instead of "Yo Dawg" and "You look gorgeous".

The stylists had some hits and misses last night. They should hopefully improve now every week.

That was a very strange show. Only the last half hour was worth watching. Chris's performance was SO unexpected after all of the others. I was hoping for more from some of them - Elliot, Mandisa, Lisa and I was disappointed. Bucky did real well for Bucky. He wasn't the best, but he didn't embarrass himself either.

I think either Kevin or Melissa could be going home. Kevin's performance was the worst, but Melissa forgot her lyrics.

I HATED Katherine's dress!

Do you guys think Kevin really thinks he's a sex symbol or is he just playing along? It's hard to read him. I really hope he doesn't actually think he's a sex symbol. I thought they had him dressed like a grandpa last night.

I usually agree with most everything Simon says and I like him, but I don't agree when he makes comments about how they look - when they have a stylist making the decisions.

I thought it was funny when Ryan took off Mandisa's shoes.

Randy made sure everyone knew she forgot her lyrics also. That's why it is a tossup to me on who will go. Who knows, it will probably be someone completely different.

I think her forgetting the lyrics would have made more of an impact on me had I actually known the song in the first place. But I didn't. She lost any Stevie Wonder fans' votes for that, but I don't think that's who has been voting for her anyway.

At first I thought Kevin was kinda cute in that nerdy-geeky kinda way. Like he didn't know what a geek he really is. LOL But with every week he's getting more and more of an attitude, like he really does think he's a sex symbol (although it was obvious a joke when he first said it), and snapping back at Simon this week, it's like he's believing all the hype and is acting like a diva. And he ain't no diva!

Even though the audience seems to get a kick out of that, but I don't think the voting audience likes it.
