I agree....Chris if my favorite....he is the "bo bice" of this competition for me....it was at this time last year that I marked Bo as my favorite also....I can't wait to see him sing more songs. And he did Fuel proud!!!

I think Gideon was outstanding, but they are all pretty good

My thoughts exactly! I was thinking they shouldn't be separated into girls and guys because the guys are definitely better this year. Why send home a good guy when it should be one of the girls.

Let me tell you - Chris ROCKED! He's got my vote to go all the way!!

What about Taylor Hicks? Straight out the gate last night he was fantastic. I didn't agree with the judges ragging on him for song choice. Elliott was also fantastic (he picked a tough song) and of course Chris rocked. As much as Gedeon annoys me with that huge grin, he was steller (especially considering how young he is!) as well. I tried my hardest to vote for Taylor, but the lines were busy busy busy.
Go Taylor go!

I am not a big Taylor fan, although I will break down and admit he was better than many other last night.
His movements and his "woo's & whoas" grate on me.

I gotta agree, Taylor Hicks is awesome! He's just so original and puts a smile on my face as soon as he comes on...especially with the woohs! and yeahs! he adds in there!

Oh and I had no idea Gedeon was that young - he looks like a 40 year old guy to me for some reason!

If I had my choice, I would get rid of Sway and David tonight. David's OK as a crooner, but I don't think he has any range. And the American Idol isn't going to be a rat-pack wannabe.

I totally agree with you guys (and Simon) about Ace, he was off last night. I do applaud him for trying a more difficult song choice, considering he could have chosen something safer and sailed through. I have no doubt that he will make it to the top 12 regardless of what he sings, though. He's got the teen-girl vote.

I was impressed by Elliott last night- he was on spot the whooooole song! Usually there is a rough spot here or there with these performers, but he is excellent!!! Very Talented! Taylor Hicks did well, but I agree with Karen, his woos and whoas get to be a little much
Chris did good last night also, Fuel is a great band and that was a great rendition! Boys are leagues better than the girls!

I think Sway and the Sinatra crooner will be gone!!!
BTW Bo Bice will be in Green Bay I think this weekend for a short performance benefiting the Family Violence Center (must find out more details!)
I did buy his CD when it came out in December.

I am really enjoying American Idol this year! So far my favorites, for the girls I like Ayla and Mandisa and for the guys I like Taylor and little Kevin (he's just too cute).
I just think Taylor seems like such a nice guy and he can really sing too!

Heck, he could be a gnome lover and I'd still love him!

That's right, I went there.
