Some of you have been keeping up with my cat Mama who has a heart murmur and hasn't been spayed due to the fact that she is very likely to die under anesthisia. We finally made the decision to risk the surgury and hope for the best. So she goes in tomorrow morning and we should know sometime around noon if she made it through
If you guys could send some good luck her way it'd be very appreciated. Thank you!

Keep your stress level down, and trust in your vet. That is all you can do at this point. Many people, I am sure will be pulling for Mama Kitty to successfully become Ms Kitty-

Oh, good luck, Mama! Vibes and prayers will be sent your way by the boys and I! And hugs and calming vibes for you as well, everything will turn out for the best!

I will be watching this Forum with avid interest and sending all the best thoughts and energy I can send - I sincerely hope Mama comes through this just like the trooper she really is. Bless her heart.

Keeping you both very close to my heart and in my thoughts today,

~gf~

Good vibes from here for Mama. But I am sure your vet will do everything he can as he is well aware of her condition. Anaesthetics now are so much better than they used to be.

My male was neutered with a heart murmur and he did fine. Also he now has heart failure and he recently went under to have his mouth worked on and he did fine.

Yay! Mama kitty made it
They said they wouldn't have known the difference between her and any other cat, which is amazing because they've rated her heart murmur a 5 or 6 out of 6 and only gave her about a 50/50 chance of survival. Guess all the good vibes helped
Thanks everyone!

What happy news! I'm glad she is ok, and now she never needs to go through the stress of a pregnancy.

Oh my gosh thats wonderful! I got so nervous when I read this thread because I know how hard this has been for you and your baby. I'm so glad she came through it ok and she will be soooo happy now to live her life in ease.
