Hi everyone....you may or may not know Sweety but we need help!
Long story short as I can, my boyfriends father has just passed and he has been traveling back and forth to Atlanta, as well we live in NYC and have been very tight on money. Don't get me wrong, if it came down to it, what needed to be done would be done!
Sweety has possibly developed a severe cold, or something else.... she sleeps all the time, is struggling for breaths, breathing very deeply, and not able to jump up and down to things. This cat was climbing the walls last week! She is 15-16 years old as well, still eating, just not the constant begger we know her for and can't seem to get comfortable.
We have a humidifier going and food and water bye her bed, also got some vita-antioxidant to add to her food. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
believe me, I will not let this go on much longer! Please help!

It really sounds like a vet visit is in order...talk to your vet, they may be able to work out some sort of payment plan due to the circumstances. If not, call around, maybe another vet will. Best wishes and vibes on your kitty feeling better!

Thankyou for your response, if things don't change by morning, she will be seeing the vet in my arms!

I would call an ER vet and ask them what to do for her comfort till the morning, or take her in now.

We just called a 24 hr er vet and have the option to bring her somewhere not to far through the night if needed. I just am stressing the issue of no pet carrier, so if she is the same through the night, I am going to get her a carrier first thing in the morning! Then take her to the vet, I just don't want to put anymore stress on her breathing than necessary since the trip could cause an emergency situation. But she just eat some dinner and vits, good sign!
My boyfriend leaves tomorrow for his father's funeral, and I am worried that I might need emergency care if anything happens to her!

We want her to just hang out again and drive us nuts!
We love you Sweety!

You can always put her in a cardboard box with plenty of holes punched in the sides, and in the car, just weight the lid down with the seat belt.

Thankyou for all your responses and concern....We just came back from the ERV an hour ago, and it was much more severe than she would ever let me think. Our only option was to let her go.I have been a wreck, but she is in a better place now..........
A Sweety memorial will be put in the Fur pictures only,
Thanks again.......

How heartbreaking! I am sorry she was gone so quick, it didn't give you much time to adjust, did it? But she is at peace now, and calmly waiting for you over the Rainbow Bridge.
Hugs to you at this difficult time!
