The Premier Lounge is now available for paid subscribers only. You can see the forum from the main page of forums, but the only ones allowed access to post there will be those who support the forums. The access to that forum lasts as long as the subscription does.

To learn about how to support this community please view this thread:

Just a way to say thanks to those who support the community. A more private place, because some people are overwhelmed by numbers and have requested a place with a bit more solitude. That's all. It has been a long time under discussion and is just now this year, making an appearance here.

Kind of a dumb question, but followed that link and I couldn't find any info about donating through PayPal... can you give a direct link or PP addy?

Thanks!

I'm well into my second year as a TCS subscriber. I spend a fair amount of time online, and am aware that establishing and maintaining a website such as this can cost a lot of time and money. To me, $5.00 a month is a bargain price for what I get in return: good advice, intellectual stimulation, emotional support when needed, a place where I can talk about my cat without fear of boring others, and, and, and. Perks such as being able to turn off advertising, more PMs and attachments, and now the Premier Lounge are secondary considerations, as far as I'm concerned, but those who do "crunch the numbers" and decide to contribute should be rewarded in some way for their support of TCS.

I don't want to start any aguments, i'm sure i cant be the only one.

I must admit I'm in 2 minds about this forum. I see the idea, But some of us are very hard up for money and even tho $5 a month doesnt sound like much it does a huge difference to myself, so I cant afford it. So it makes me feel a little bad and I always have the paranoia of whats going on behind my back.

There is nothing going on in this forum, that hurts anyone. If there are posts like that, Deb and I will step in and stop it and there will be consequences. No one is talking bad about anyone here, nor will they. That is not the point. The point also is not to make anyone feel bad or feel excluded. This is our way of just giving back to those who support us. That's all it is.

I have to agree with D.

I would love to subscribe to help the forums continue running smoothly, but it is just not financially an option for me.
I am starting my own business and give my cats the best care possible, so money is something I have to be extrememly careful with.

I understand that you wish to give something back to those who are able to pay for a subscription, but I do feel kind of excluded as I am unable to contribute - however much I would like to.

I agree.

I for one would feel a lot better if we could at least see the topics being discussed there even if we can't read them.

When a forum is opened to cater to a minority not the majority it's hard not to feel excluded and even hurt.
