Many of you have heard about my lovely Zoey...

I would like to know how to get her into hhp shows.. her patterning is about 75% done and she has made lots of progress in touching..

What do I need to do and how to get it done..

Also Zoey was found feral , a year later you would never know it but she is weird about being held.. she doesnt bite or scratch but she does wiggle any suggestions??

Not sure I understand what you are asking...."patterning"?

Anyway if you are talking about how she behaves, just practice with her by holding her out (stretching her body); standing on back legs (hold with one hand) and petting her head, etc. Also standing her on 4 legs and doing a general feel of body type/muscle.

Is this what you are asking?

I'm not sure what you mean by patterning either.

Hope is incredibly wiggly. To the point where no one else but me can hold her. She is so squirmy like a child throwing a tantrum when you pick her up. She will also growl but its sort of an emty threat with her.

The show actually helped her in this regard. Yes the judges pretty much took her out and almost immediately put her back as they had a hard time controlling her but she got to trusting me carrying her around everywhere. She's gotten a lot better but still far from where I want her to be.

You never know exactly how a cat will react but its certainly worth a try. You will know after a couple shows if she wants to do it or not.

Ohhh you mean the red color and striping is coming in better. Nothing to worry about the - cat is not penalized on color (as a hhp) - reds and cream are a "slow" color. That's why you sometimes get more red coloring to come in a tortoiseshell cat.

I had a tortie rex kitten that only had a few red spots in her fur when born. By the time she was 3/4 months old, she had lovely blend of red thru her coat - but she was NOT born that way! In fact I thought she was all black when born till I saw the one/two red spots in her coat

What registry do you want to show with? For CFA I think you can go to their website go to show calendar find the show you want to enter and email the entry clerk she/he will help you fill out the entry form since its your first one.
