I suspect the kittens still go to her occationally for "snacks".

If her nipples are swollen, she is engorged and may have mastitis. Spaying her now will be the easiest way to alleviate this. Once her ovaries are removed, she will not have the hormones that will cause her to produce milk and the swelling and inflammation will go down almost immediately. She will still be able to produce milk if her kittens come for a "snack", though.

As Semiferal suggested...best thing is to have her spayed. That will cause her swelling to go down. Given that the kittens will be going into new homes...she won't need to be producing milk any longer.

7 weeks old is too early to be going to their new homes.

Many people prefer for kittens to go home at 12 weeks which allows for extra socialization with mom around.

As I mentioned earlier, the easiest and most effective thing to do is have her spayed. This will take care of the problem and it can be done before the kittens go to their new homes.

I agree with what has been said, you should spay your girl. I think some of the kittens may still be nursing also. I know my persian kittens would begin to eat solid food around 5-6 weeks but they would still go to mommy for an occasional drink. It is a comfort thing for them. I let my kittens go at 12 weeks and no sooner. It helps them to get used to things, no be a nervous kitty cat and they are well socialized by then. At 7 weeks, I don't think mom has taught them all they need to know.

I hope this helps answer your questions.
