I was without my computer for over two weeks and had to use the ones at the local library. While there, I discovered they had the DVD of the Phantom Of the Opera (Webber's) and checked it out.

Played it daily for 5 days. Haven't played it for 2 days and am getting irritable and twitchy and depressed. Returning it today and shopping for my own copy. (Much to my mom's dismay as the DVD player is in her room. She likes it too, but not as much as I do.)

Besides, I'd started staring at Gerard Butler's crotch.

BTW, I do have my computer back and now can satisfy my TCS addiction.

I haven't seen the new version, but the classical with Claude Raines is nice. I'd fade away without my computer.

I know how you feel Jan. I'm addicted to a show right now and since it's a series (8 DVDs) it takes awhile . I am watching it now for a second time and no doubt will go back and watch it a third time . It doesn't help when it's a romance and you have a crush on the main character.
I assume that is maybe why you find Phantom so appealing?

I thought I was the only one that did that! Usually when I pick up a movie I'll watch it almost daily for a week or two. Heck, I'm *still* addicted to my Lord of the Rings Extended Versions with commentaries-I'm working through the trilogy again.

It's nice to know I'm not the only one who could get so addicted. Yes, I admit to "phan"tasies about the lead characters.

I got the DVD for Christmas. Then I went and got the cd soundtrack. The songs are constantly going through my head!
Just found out that it's coming to The Fox Theater in St. Louis this July. Guess where I'm going?

With the help of a cash birthday gift I finally bought my own DVD copy of the Movie! The 2 disc with added extras off course.
Watched some of the extras last night.

When I got back in the van and showed Mom my purchase, she wanted me to promise I'd only watch it once a week. Don't know if I can do that...

It looks like I'm going to need my own TV and DVD player. Is it too early to start my Christmas wish list?

I had to check how old you were for a sec

That is too adorable that you love this movie this much and your mum is making you promise to only watch it once a week!

Wait'll the movie 300 is released (2007 probably). Gerard Butler portrays King Leonidas and wears a leather - um - thong. Definitely starable!

I have had a problem with Bram Stokers Dracula (1992). Since it's come out I've had 4 copies of the VHS because it kept wearing out, and now 2 dvd copies. Seriously I think I watched it every single day at least once for a year, and even though I could recite everything verbatim, I still liked to have it play in the background. I was OBSESSED! That was probably from the ages of 16 - 22.. Now I just watch it maybe once a year or so. But that is my favorite movie eva.

Just be careful if you suddenly regain consciousness and realise you've been licking the TV for the past 10 minutes

He is a hottie...I know I had to bite my knuckles a few times during the movie when he's leading Christine down into the layer on the horse and has that I'm so evil look on his face

*bump* ow, my nose...

Too late, I just changed my computer wallpaper and it's the Phantom playing his organ. (
Pipe Organ for all you dirty minds out there. Including mine.

I've been wanting to watch the Phantom, but never got around to it. I'll have to rent it this weekend!

I know what you mean... I LOVED Pride and Prejudice! I watched it 3 days in a row before I returned it to the video store.

I absolutely love the story and the music... but I haven't watched the movie yet. I'm really hoping to see it actually on stage before I watch the film... it was the other way around with Les Miserables and how I wish I'd waited!

There's something, so special about your first time....
