I have had the same SD memory card in my digital camera for about 6 months, I upload through the camera so don't take in in and out all the time.

I took some photos yesterday morning and tried to take some more in the afternoon but all I got was a red screen saying 'unsupported card' (I have a HP M307)

I tried reformatting the card and lost all my photos in the process but it still won't recognise it.

Any idea?

That's bizarre.

I use an SD card, too, but it's in and out all the time, and into my Palm from time to time. I use a card reader for transfer of my images to the computer, because it's just like moving files from one drive to another -- very fast -- and also doesn't drain the camera batteries, etc.

All of which is to say, I have never experienced your problem and I can't think what might have caused it, but I'll obviously be interested to hear any comments -- just in case
.

My camera is an HP as well -- the Photosmart 735.

There are a number of "inexpensive" SD cards out there that are just plain crappy and tend to die. A-Data comes to mind. I would recommend you try the card in something else to see if it works, like a PDA, or a Printer that accepts card media. That way youll have a better idea if the card has (to put it bluntly) crapped out on you.....
