Kitty living in the Old Summer Palace

While in Beijing I visited the ruins of the Old Summer Palace (Yuan ming yuan = Perfect Brightness Gardens) which was destroyed during the 2nd Opium War in 1860. Now it is a public park which remains quite beautiful. While there I managed to nab a few pictures of one of the lovely resident cats.

Wowee thats lovely, but enormous!

She does look big doesn't she (he?).. I think a lot of that is probably her fur coat though. It was really cold while I was there and several of the cats I saw outside had a similar looking coat. Though, she certainly doesn't look like she has been having trouble finding food.
