my cousin moved to America about five years ago, she was living in santa cruz CA with her husband and child but for the last two years no-one has been able to get in contact with her, her mother is extremely worried and even i'm starting to get a little concerned
.

i have tried the white pages to find her number but there is no listing, there is a unlisted number for her husband but i have no idea how to get it.

she's not with her husband anymore as far as i know and no-one knows where she is, i assume she's still in CA somewhere with her son.

if anyone knows of a way to find an unlisted number i'd really appreciate it

thanks

Have you tried a people search on the net? Type in "people search" on an engine and a list of sites will come up.

Good luck finding your sister!

Was she an australian citizen??
You can report to the australian consulate or embassy in america that you are worried about her and that you are trying to track her down.
You will need to pay a bit of money, not more than $50, they will mail you where she lives her telephone number ect.. and they will also send her a letter letting her know her family is looking for her.

That's pretty scary that even her mom hasn't heard from her in two years. I'd be concerned myself. I think Fwan has a great idea - I'd follow through with that.

Really? They would actually do that? Sounds great if they would help you. I think there's good cause to do so if no one's heard from your cousin in 2 years.

Yes they do actually do it.
If you are from another country, by law the consulate has to know if youre still living or if something happened to you.

If you need any more information pm me. (my dad works at the consulate so i can gve you more detail)

Did you try her on Zabasearch???? You could mail letters to all the address's and write on the envelope "forwarding information requested". They post office will forward letters for 6 months. But if you write that on the envelope the post office should return the letter with an updated address or other forwarding information. Did she have problems with her ex that he couldn't pass info to you??

thankyou fwan, i might actually do that, i just have to work out how to get the money lol, if i could get her ex's number i'm sure he'd tell me where she is but he's unlisted.

i was going to try the online places that charge you a fee for an unlisted number but i'm not sure if it's a scam.

she did have problems before she left Australia, a few friends of her father kidnapped her, held her for almost a week and raped her very badly
she ended up being a hari christiner (sp?) and was living with them in Queensland for a while, then she moved to India where she met her now ex husband, she was doing fantastic for a while and even phoned me a few times, even though she sounded very different
we were so close when we were young, i just hope she's okay, i can't understand why she wouldn't get in contact with her mum....

thanks for all your help

Thankyou Gail, i did try Zabasearch and it came up with the ex husbands numbers, the one they used to have when they were together and a new one, the did live in Santa cruz when they were together but the other number for him was in soquel CA, so he could have moved to a different town after they split up, i'm just waiting to hear from her mum, she's going to let us know if it's the right number, fingers crossed!

thanks again and i'll let you know how it turns out.
