I believe my cat Suki recently got pregnant by my other cat Max. It happened around Dec. 14th.

Today I came home and Suki had white vaginal discharge coming out. Not just a little but a lot. I had to wipe her with a towel every few seconds.

I noticed it before but it was just a little bit and she licked it up so I didnâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t think anything of it.

My regular vet is closed for the day, I am trying to research what it could be but the only thing i could find is the following:

"When a fetus dies during pregnancy, mummification and more extensive changes follow but the other fetuses may not be affected. This can give rise to an unexpected vaginal discharge during pregnancy, accompanied by fever depending on the cause of fetal death, or the mummified fetus may be retained and even reabsorbed by the queenâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s body. Sometimes all the fetuses die but abortion does not occur and the queen gives birth to a mummified litter."

Please help ASAP! I donâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t want the babies to die.

Are there any 24 hour emergency vet clinics that you can call and find out what they think?? Unfortunately, there isn't always someone knowledgeable online...so if you are worried..it is best to try to contact an expert.

She could be. No one can say for sure except a vet. Why isn't she spayed and your other cat neutered? I hope they aren't siblings. You could just take her in to be spayed whether she is pregnant or not. If that bothers you then tell the vet not to tell you if she is in fact pregnant or not but to just spay her. That way you won't feel bad because you won't know. But remember cats are not people and that kind of thing isn't a big deal with cats.

How old is she?

It really does sound like she has a uterine infection (Pyometria) and what you are seeing is the pus from that. Pyometria can be deadly, so it's important to take your cat to an emergency vet clinic as soon as possible. They will be able to diagnose and treat whatever is causing the discharge and also tell you whether or not she is pregnant.

Did you consult a vet to determine whether she was healthy enough to carry a litter?? I am also concerned that she may be sick...so immediate vet care is really the way to go.

I concur with Tania, and also pyo can mimic a pregnancy because the uterus is full of infection and pus

Homiegfunk, your cat needs to see a vet immediately. She may have a uterine infection and if she does, it will kill her if it goes untreated. This is an emergency. Additionally, spaying is a requirement for any cat adopted from a humane society, as Suki was.
