No one was complaining about inane questions or polls lately, so the last couple I did must not have been dumb enough. Maybe this one will do it:

Your friend has just finished his (or her) drink. You pick up the glass and ask if he (or she) wants a refill. Your friend says no. As you take the glass away, suddenly *GASP (it's always suddenly) you realize that in a state of panic, you must have served it in "that filthy glass" you meant to put in the dishwasher before your guests arrived! What do you do now!... What.... do you do..... now?!

(Discalimer: Poll selections will magically appear without notice as soon as I finish conjuring them up. Stay tuned, or post an answer at your own risk.)

Where's the poll? My answer is: I do nothing until I have a poll option to tell me what to do. I can only survive in a multiple choice world.

Well, on the rare occasion I do have visitors, I always ask them if they want the drink in a dirty glass. That was the inspiration. So far everyone has refused and I serve in clean glasses only.

I'd ask if he wanted a different kind of drink and reach for a clean glass. If he says no, then I know he didn't notice the filthy glass. If he says yes, I'll know he noticed the glass and didn't want to drink out of it again!

"I put the glass in the dishwasher and say nothing. If anyone says anything I will go ballistic!"

^ I chose that one.

I would quietly put it in the dishwasher and say nothing!!
Dirty never hurt anyone!! What he doesn't know won't kill him unless there were chunks!!

Yeah I would say something if there was a fat cat hairball or something stuck to it, but if it was just a reused clean glass (say I'd had a glass of water from in the morning) then I wouldn't

If they're really friends, they'll understand LOL. And if they are ok coming to hang out in a house with 39 cats, I'm sure one dirty glass will be forgiven.

Wow another really deep and thought-provoking question Ryan.

I would just put it in the dishwasher and not say anything. After all, it was more than likely only me or Tiff that would have used it so it can't be THAT dirty!

I would just put the dirty glass in the dishwasher and get them a new glass with their drink. lol I don't think its ever happened before, but sometimes I forget whether the dishes in there are clean or not...

Am I the only one who chose "Other?"

I would blame it on my wife for not checking the glass before putting it away.
Then she'd make me wash the glass and use it myself.
