I don't know whether to cry or not right now. Poor lil Oscar! I just want so very much for you to have a healthy and happy life.

Oscar, you are an inspiration to us all I feel so badly that you are having to go through this, but you are so bravely mustering on - you thrive on love & have beat the odds through so much. Keep on little guy!

Just updating you all.

Oscar has been up and down lately. He went downhill fast on Wednesday and I took him to the vets to do what I had to... but when it came down to it, I couldn't. He jumped up onto my chest from the vets table and head bonked my chin. The vet respected my decision and ended up draining another couple of ounces from his abdomen to help him breathe.

He was fairly depressed for about 24hrs post the drainage, but has perked up since then and has lost a little more of the fluid. The kids were sitting on the floor eating homemade pizza last night and he kept climbing up their bare legs to get at the pizza Unfortunately he's not allowed pizza... just his Advance and his cooked sausages and his coconut oil.

The vet feels that the coconut oil was the last chance, and that it doesn't appear to be working. We shall take each day as it comes and simply focus on good palliative care now.
