Or, we could go to Seattle and take in the view from the Space Needle, and have some fun at Pike Place Market. You could spend several days in Seattle and not run out of things to see. And if you go hungry, it's your fault!

Um Yeah! Jeff has great taste! our state is pretty cool. Here's a phot of Deception pass at Fall sunset. It's one of the most romantic places around.

I would love to show a visitor my friend's farm. She has all kinds of animals from chickens, wild turkey, geese, goats, sheep, llamas, ponies and donkeys. These animals are just SOOO fun to be around.

The Cincinnati skyline in the morning while driving down the cut in the hill, Interstate 75, from KY...

The Cincinnati skyline at night, from Devou Park... city lights & such...

Mainstrasse Village in Covington, KY... lots of way-cool bars & restaurants...

And of course, I'd want to show them my 6 cats.

Umm.. I believe you're thinking of Iceland, Finland's not vulcanic. Finland is more of a forests and lakes country. You're most welcome anyway, I'll keep the sauna warm for for you.

We haven't decided yet. I've never even been out there to visit so I'm not too sure where the really nice places are and that kind of thing. Jeff's new job is in Surrey....but we are looking for a place that isn't too big. Maybe live in a town on the outskirts?

First, you'd probably be bored out of your mind, after Max & Bandit showed off for you!
But then, we'd probably ride up to Callaway Gardens and the Pine Mountain Wild Animal Park... Other tha that, I really don't have a clue! :eek:/ Columbus is a nice place to live, but there's nothing very exciting about it!

BTW, Kelley, I'm on my way!!!

So most of you live in absolutely stunning places! I'm with the few that live in the middle of boring - I travel to have fun!

But if I must pick a place, I'd take you up into Kansas City and have you experience the finest barbeque in the world, followed by a visit to one of the many bars that feature local musicians - lots of blues and jazz. If that doesn't suite you, I'm an hour's drive from the closest lake in the Lake of the Ozarks chain. A little hiking in the woods and some lovely scenery with a picnic lunch.

Of course you could spend hours on end (as we do), playing with our cats and dogs and taking the dogs on long walks on the property (10 acres). We have about a mile of trails cut into the woods and grasslands on the property.

I love KC. I heard it won the U.S. BBQ competition and it's the best. I have been to Kansas City twice and it's pretty to me just fine! The grasslands and fishin' holes around KC are really nice.

I would have my husband take us to the river. Then we would go for a boat ride in our 23ft. boat. The river here is about seven miles wide at the mouth and it is beautiful. If that didn't satisfy you, then we would drive about 45 minutes and I would show you Atlantic Ocean.

I'd say it's to downtown Houston for a walking tour of the underground tunnels, Houston's best kept secret. Really. Ya'll would marvel at the big buildings, the light rail & huge Minute Maid Park and of course...loads of freeways.

If ya'll came in Feb/March, ya'll would be at the Rodeo (pref. March 17th since thats when Lonestar is playing).

After taking in the big city charm, it's out to Katy to my parent's house on the lake and a quick tour of said lake on thier boat. We'd wonder down county roads to the Park, walk the cat and look at all the historial buildings, the K-T rail line. For dinner, ya'll would find yourselves at one of the local soul-food outlets along Almeda or Pico's for some real Mexican deep in the Hispanic section of town, depending upon the food you fancy.

Houston & the metro-area, it's a vaction eventhough it's not as well known as say Pairs, New York or A'dam.

Thanks for the pics Elizabeth! I've been waiting since Christmas for the weather to get nice so I can take my new camera up to Deception and get some pics of my own. I only live an hour or so away.

Wow, I feel like I know you all so much better seeing where you live! Dan - BEAUTIFUL photo. You didn't take that did you? Amazing. Washington is beautiful, and we are overdue for a "history" trip to Boston (Karen) and Washington DC.

People from Colorado have already posted, but if you come I could take you to the Coors Brewery (in the actual town where I live and work), or to our condo in Keystone Colorado (at about 10,000 feet), or to a BRONCOS game! But I'm more interested in visiting all of YOU!!!

Hmmm...well, even if you decide not to live in Surrey itself, but there are pleasant communities within easy commuting distance.

Oh that is a toughie. there is quite a bit of history around here. i would take you to FDR's Littel White house to see where he died and to the warm spring pools where he found relief from his polio. I would take you to Fantasy in lights at Callaway Gardens if you came around Christmas. i would take you to Andersonville(i think that is where it is
) to see the civil war cemetery and prison. i would take you to atlanta to see where the olypics were held. and to the coca cola factory. i would take you hiking in Pine Mountain to see how pretty it is up there. and i would take you out te eat at one of the good country restarants here called the Bullock House! they have fried green tomatoes and chicken and all the southern things you would expect!

The cats house, we just pay the mortgage..
Right, I want to come and visit Katspixiedust and Huggles!!! Id love to chill out in Florida and then lie on that beautiful beach in Australia and cuddle baby Jasmine!!
Ok compared to all these places Scotland is v boring. But then to you guys it might not be...
First of all I'd take you to my Mums for dinner, she cooks mean Italian food, then I'd take you to Mark's Mums because she cooks a mean anything!!!
Then Id probably ask my mum where I'm supposed to take you as she knows all the best places to go, hills to walk up so you get a great view, beaches to go to (not for sunbathing bbbrrrr).
I'd definately take you to Edinburgh to see the castle and do all the touristy things. They say that Edinburgh is the only place in Scotland where even a Scotsman feels like a foreigner (Im English so it doesnt count for me). Its just a fantastic place with such an atmosphere.
Then we'd go to my house and play with my cats

you would have to see Niagara Falls in the winter (or anytime for that matter), its a sight to behold.

From the Canadian side, as its the best view. I have some great pics of the falls frozen, but the site will not let me load any files. so here is 1 link.

Take a short trip along lakeside park around Lake Ontario to Toronto Canada.

The View on top of the CN tower on a clear day, and you can see for hundreds of miles.

No trip to Tucson is complete without sampling some REAL Mexican food, so Molina's is a must. A Saturday-night dinner of mesquite-broiled steaks, at Pinnacle Peak, will be capped off with a night of boot-scootin' at the Maverick.
What? You won't take me to the gem and mineral shows?
