This is a health/behavior related question...
About two weeks ago, my cat got a deep cut on his back leg. I took him to the vet, got him stitched up and put him on antibiotics.
He's been limping the whole time, of course, but last night he began walking totally flat footed with the injured leg. I've never seen a cat do this before and I'm worried maybe his tendons or bones may be injured somehow? Is it possible my vet could have missed something that important?
Socks still has tons of energy, is continuing to jump on counters and is very playful, as if nothing is wrong, and I don't get any signs of pain when I tug or push lightly on his foot.
I just want to be sure that taking him back to the vet won't result in the vet saying "Just keep an eye on it" and another office visit fee. Should I wait a day or two or does it seem more serious?
Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
