Well, I've got myself a kitty.

He doesn't have a name yet, so its making for awkward conversation.

I let him out of his carrier, and let him explore.
He's investigating everything, and spent some time chilling out under the bed.

Now I'm being watched from a distance.

Sounds like a typical cat beginning, from my past experiences.

I can't take photo credit for that one, it came from his Petfinder profile, but I wanted to introduce...the kitty who doesn't have a name yet.

Beautiful! He looks just like our Ozzy (black black black black black), except that Ozzy always has an up-to-no-good gleam in his eye which your kitty seems to be missing.

He's lovely! And don't worry too much about a name at hte very beginning. In my experience cats find their own names - it suddenly happens after a few days or a week, the right name just occurs as you get to know the cat's personality.

Thank you!

I'm sure I picked the right boy for my household. He's already fighting the computer for space on my lap.
I love that in an animal.

Isn't that a good thing?

He sounds so sweet. I really love his eyes! I love it when my cats try to sit in my lap when I'm on the computer, too. I'm sure a name will come to him soon.

what a beautiful black kitty.
The name will just "come to you" one day soon. Let us know what it is when you find it out.

He's very pretty. Which shelter did you get him from? I got my Pandora from the Humane Society in Coon Rapids. It's nice to see another Minnesotan on here. Good luck naming him!!

I got him from Feline Rescue in St Paul. Its a really nice shelter. The cats are all really well socialized and friendly, but they're only open for a few hours at a time.

So far so good
