Hi

I have a pregnant queen at home. I have just heard that one of her sisters has chlamydia. As a kitten, the cat that now has chlamydia had an eye infection, and my cat also had problems with here eyes, but she never had any problems after that. The breeder didn't know then that it was chlamydia, she thaught it just was an eye infection.

My cat probably has chlamydia, so what shuld I do? I don't want here kittens to get ill. I have heard about Zithromax, that you give one dose to the pregnant queen at 58 day in pregnancy. Should I continue to give her Zithromax during the time she nurse the kittens? How frequently? Once a week until the kitten has moved? Can I be sure that the kittens doesn't get ill? Can i continue to use here as a breeding queen? I just want here to be healthy and free from chlamydia.

The vetrinary here does not prescript Zithromax to prevent that the kittens doesn't get it. So therfore I ask you if you know what to do.
